Suzuki confirms six new models by next three years including rivals to current city cars
Suzuki has announced that Japanese automaker has sold 37,000 units in previous three years, however their sales have been increased by 85% in last three years where the previous sales volume was 20,000 units. All this growth has come from the new models like Splash and Swift.
The SX4 S-Cross model has also responded very efficiently. The sales and marketing boss Dale Wyatt, has revealed that Suzuki is about to introduce six new models in the next three years.Three of them will be for youth with more “emotional” outlook and appealing body styles.
Suzuki has plans to introduce two cars for each market segment of A, B and C. Wyatt said. “One will be a more rational, a sensible car, while the other will be something more emotional.”
You already know that two new cars are scheduled from Suzuki to arrive in 2015, including Vitara and Celerio city car. However, next four models which about arrive in 2016 and 2017 should bring some real excitement and interest.
There is a hatchback to arrive and it will sit alongside the swift and according Wyatt, it is the car that will answer all the doubts and grievances of Suzuki customers have against the Swift. It will tell the customers that why not to buy a Swift and the new model will be all about the driver. It will speak the driver’s language. It will have bigger space and boot on the back then – giving a strong rival to its competitors like Honda Jazz.
The new model will have high levels of comfort and a bit facelift with lofty overall body style. It will have better driving dynamics than a Swift offers. There was not any clue about its any concept model or pictures, but it will likely be available at Geneva Motor Show in March 2015, and will go on sale in 2016.
Followed by the Celerio, next generation Swift will arrive in 2017 with more sporty characters and powerful Suzuki engine line-up. Sixth and final model remained a mystery, but it might be a replacement for Jimny.
