Four hundred and fiftieth Bugatti Veyron has been sold after a decade while a successor is due in 2016

The Veyron has reached its sales target with the final 450th Veyron being sold out. This marks an end of an era for Bugatti. The first generation Veyron has ended and the next generation is due in 2016.

The production run of the Veyron of 450 cars included the first ever Coupe with 252mph, record breaker Super Sport with 268mph, Grand Sport and GrandSport Vitesse Convertible.

The last ever produced Veyron, a ‘LA Finale’ Special Edition has been sold to a lucky customer from Middle East and it will appear at the Geneva Motor Show along with the first ever built Veyron.

About a decade ago, with the birth of Veyron an era of supercars was started and Veyron became the world’s fastest car with 987bhp. The first Veyron was powered by a quad-turbo 8.0 litre W16 engine. This engine was ultimately jumped to the 1185bhp in 2010 when it received a major refresh.

It was first introduced in super Sport model with 1500Nm torque and sold for £2 million. This beautiful monster machine was the first ever car that reached the 268mph speed and held this record for four years. Bugatti claims that the average price of the Veyron today is £1.7 million with all optional extras.

Let’s have a look at the performance figures of Veyron: it has a top speed of 268mph while clocks the speedometer from still to 62 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. It reaches 0-124 miles per hour in 6.7 seconds.
