Grand Cherokee is now dubbed SRT Red Vapor which will go on sale next month
The standard Grand Cherokee SRT is powered by the magnificent 6.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine and this is the same engine that will power all-new Grand Cherokee dubbed SRT Red Vapor. This powerful engine will be churning out 461bhp paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Is it really fast or what? Well, the SRT Red Vapor is capable of reaching 62mph in just 5.0sec and can attain the top speed of 160mph.
Some of you might have previewed SRT Red Vapor at the Paris Motor Show last October. The distinguishing features of this new model are glossy black badging and grilles, 20 inch alloy wheels, and colour-coded body-kit. According to Jeep, they have used hi-tech sound system which counters the low-frequency noises coming from the engine with the help of an Active Noise Cancellation system.
The interior has also been worked on pretty well, the steering wheel is leather-wrapped and features a backlit SRT badging and the seats are finished in black leather and red suede. The shiny chrome inserts on the standard SRT are replaced by more elegant grey chrome inserts.
You would definitely love the new 8.4 inch touchscreen in the new SRT Red Vapor which comes with Bluetooth connectivity, satellite navigation system and hands-free technology for easy communication while driving. The best part is the 19-speaker Harmon/Kardon audio system which is capable-enough to blow your brains out. There is adaptive cruise control, power-operated tailgate and blind-spot monitoring.
You can have one of these marvellous vehicles in Brilliant Black, Brilliant White or metallic Redline Red. The price will start from £64,999.
